PROTEM in cooperation with the Italian manufacturer SCUTTI designs and delivers ready-to-use storage solutions for cement and many other dry bulk materials.
There are different types of silo available, with a capacity ranging from 20m3 to 2.500m3. Mainly used are the paneled silos which are assembled with screws on site while telescopic and monolithic silos are also available.
Depending on their type of construction, they are suitable either for road transportation by lorries or shipping in containers. Galvanized finish is available on demand.

Pressure relief valves for silos
A pressure relief valve, also known as a safety valve, is a mechanical device installed on the roof of a silo and is designed to release or inject air. When the internal pressure reaches certain levels during filling or unloading, the safety valve activates by balancing the pressure.
This way the silo remains intact regarding the pressure changes that occur internally, as the safety valve is always ready to add or remove air in case the internal pressure goes past the predetermined limits.
A pressure relief valve is made of steel and is ideal for use on cement silo in the ready-mix concrete industry, but can also be used in any other application that includes bulk material storage.Read more

The Fluidization pads for powders are used in concrete batching plants as a preventive measure. A variety of materials will show perfect mass flow as soon as certain amount of air is added at regular intervals during discharging of the bin or silo. Weighing Indication of Silo Content

The most complex part of the entire implementation is the base upon which the cement silo is placed. These bases must be designed in such a way, to provide the maximum security against earthquakes and strong winds, without reducing the weighing accuracy.
