ECONOMICAL SOLUTION OF MEASURING THE CONTENT INSIDE THE SILO

Using the weighing system SiloRe@der you receive much more information than a simple indication for full or empty or a percentage indication based on a level measurement. On the contrary, SiloRe@der uses load cell technology sensors bolted to the silo legs without needing to lift the silo or make any changes on the silo legs.

SiloRe@der informs you about the quantity inside your silo. It measures the actual weight of the silo and its contents in Kg without requiring the placement of the silo on load cells.

SiloRe@der can be successfully installed to almost any silo supported by legs. Silo contents can be: cement, sand, aggregates, flour, grain like corn, rice, wheat, barley, oats, minerals, coal, chemicals, plastics, liquids or liquefied gases.

The most important thing however, is that the system costs a little more than a high-end level sensor such as sonars or capacitive ropes, without the disadvantages of these systems.

ADVANTAGES OF SILORE@DER

The silo does not have to be emptied and the plant does not have to stop operating in order to install the system
The sensors are simply screwed on the 4 silo legs and are connected to the weighing indicator.
Typical weighing accuracy is between ± 2-5% and in the worst case scenario (depends on the silo) up to ±10%.
No mechanical modifications are required for the implementation of the system
Installing is very easy and can even be performed by the client.
No maintenance is required after installation
If you happen in the future to change the silo you are using, simply unscrew the sensors and apply them to the new one.

OPERATION PRINCIPLE

Onto the metal plate of the sensor, four thin foil strain gauges are bonded and connected in a full Wheatstone Bridge arrangement. They operate on the principle that as the foil is stretched or compressed, the resistance of the foil changes in a defined way.
Each SiloRe@der sensor is basically a load cell which, instead of measuring force, is bolted onto a surface where it measures the expansion or compression of the surface. In other words the sensor measures the small variations on the length of the metal, between the two points it is bolted in.
One weighing indicator, which the sensors are connected to, measures the variation of their resistance and converts it to a weigh value.

You will never again overload your silo, thus causing environmental pollution and budgetary losses
If you have dedusting filters installed in your silo, SiloRe@der will help you take advantage of the maximum capacity of the silo without having to worry about overfilling it and destroying the filters’ cartridges.

WEIGHING INSTRUMENT AND MANAGEMENT APPLICATIONS

The PROTEM CTZ-52 Smart Weighing Indicator is the ideal panel mount instrument for SiloRe@der applications. Small in size (96x96 mm), it can be easily mounted on any industrial panel or electrical board door.
CTZ-52 has 5 programmable set points so you can set upper and lower weight limits and automatically activate sirens or signaling lights by its outputs.
RS485 Modbus communication, allows easy connection to a PLC or PC. In applications with more than 1 silo, many indicators can be placed next to the silos and through one only cable, all silos can transmit their data to a remote PLC or PC.
A Scada software or an android app that allows you also to track the quantities of your silos from any PC, Tablet or your mobile phone and schedule your orders on time is also available.
