The Hydro-Probe was the first moisture sensor to use the digital microwave moisture measurement technique. The principle of operation lies on the microwave technology, which allows the moisture measurement over a great distance (~ 10cm) from the sensor’s surface. The measurements are not affected by salt contents of the aggregate, its color or its temperature (as it happens with many other moisture sensors) or even by a thin material layer that may be lies on the surface of the sensor. The Hydro-Mix is a rugged, flush mounted microwave moisture measurement sensor for mixers and conveyors in process control environments. Designed by Hydronix to be installed in the turbulent environment of a mixer, the Hydro-Mix features integral signal processing and is easily connected to any control system. The sensor measures at 25 times per second which enables rapid response to any changes in moisture content, including the determination of homogeneity.
The Hydro-Mix sensor offers a choice of measurement modes for optimising the sensor performance for sand, aggregates, concrete and other similar materials. The sensor is designed to be fitted flush within a mixer, screw conveyor or in a chute. For conveyor belt applications, the Hydro-Mix sensor is installed using the Hydro-Skid pantograph arm enabling the sensor to ride over the surface of the flowing material.Read more

The SCLD (Scaleable Current Loop Display) is a simple and cost effective method of displaying the moisture output from a single moisture sensor without the need to integrate with a control system.
Using the sensor's analogue loop (4-20mA), the unit can be configured to show the entire moisture range for a given application. Displays include Moisture percentage, Average Moisture (%) or sensor unscaled values depending on the configuration. The Scaleable Current Loop Display is a tool simple to set up and configure using the keypad on the front panel.
Hydronix sensors must be configured to use this device and this requires the use of Hydro-Com running on a Windows 2000 or later PC. An RS485 in USB or Ethernet converter is required in order to connect the sensor to the PC.Read more

Moisture analyzers are used for quick and precise determination of material humidity upon the basis of weight loss during drying of its small sample (thermo-gravimetrical method).
Halogen radiators ensure effective and fast sample drying, while a high accuracy load cell constantly calculates the weight difference between humid and dry sample. As a result the moisture analyzer calculates the final percentage of humidity for a material sample.Read more
