“SILOTOP” DUST FILTERS FOR CEMENT SILO

The WAM SILOTOP^®Zero dust filter is a cylindrical dust collector for silo ventilation and is the most appropriate solution for cement or fine aggregates silos in the concrete, asphalt and dry-mortar industries.

Its stainless-steel casing contains vertically mounted POLYPLEAT™ elements made from NANOFIBER filter media. The compressed air pulse-jet cleaning system is integrated into the hinged weather protection cover.

Dust separated from the air flow by special filter elements drops back into the silo after an integrated automatic compressed air pulse-jet cleaning system has removed it from the filter media.

Air filtration capacity has been increased through innovative high-performance filter media, which requires less filter surface area. This results in a lower pressure drop and dust emission of less than 1 mg/Nm³ * for concrete batching plant application. The filter is accompanied by a European type certification (EN ISO 16890-1: 2016, Group ISO ePM 65%)

* Νm³is a unit of mass measurement of solids, liquids and gases associated with specific (typical) pressure and temperature conditions. It is called "normal cubic meter" and refers to a volume of one cubic meter (1m³) under the conditions of 1 bar pressure and 0 ⁰C temperature.

IMPORTANT INDICATIONS

Removing moisture from the air used to clean the filter’s cells is crucial for their service life and filter performance. The simple water trap commonly used in the air supply line from the compressor is not as efficient. The best solution is to install an air dryer. However, under no circumstances, the air that goes into the filters should have oil, as the case is when supplying air to the pistons.
The cartridges, depending on the use and the quality of the air, have an expiration date. As with the car’s filter, they should be checked every six or twelve months and be cleaned externally with compressed air.
