ECONOMIC SOLUTION OF MEASURING THE QUANTITY INSIDE THE SILO

SiloRe@der provides you with more than just an indication for full or empty or a percentage based on level measurement sensors. SiloRe@der uses special sensors bolted on the silo legs or body without needing to lift the silo or make any changes to the silo legs.

Presentation

SiloRe@der keeps you informed about the quantity of your silo’s contents. It measures the actual weight of the silo and its contents in kilograms (kg) without having to mount the silo onto load cells bases.

SiloRe@der can also be easily installed in any storage tank or vessel and measure its contents, which among others can be: Cement, sand, aggregates, flour, grain such as corn, rice, wheat, barley, oats, minerals, coal, chemicals, plastics, liquids or liquefied gases.

SiloRe@der provides you with more than just an indication for full or empty or a percentage based on level measurement sensors. SiloRe@der uses specialized sensors bolted on the silo legs or body without needing to lift the silo or make any changes to the silo legs.

And most importantly: SiloRe@der costs the same or a little more than high-end level sensor systems such as sonars or capacitive ropes, etc.

SILORE@DER ADVANTAGES

There is no need to empty the silo or stop the production during the installation.
Sensors are simply bolted on the silo legs and connected to the weight indicator.
Typical weighing accuracy is ±5%, which in the worst cases scenario may be up to ±10% (depending on the silo’s structure).
System installation requires no modifications to the equipment.
Easy to install, can even be installed by the customer.
No maintenance is required after installation.
If you need to change the silo in the future, just unbolt the sensors from the old silo and bolt them onto the new one.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

4 thin films called strain gauges are attached on the metal surface of each SiloRe@der sensor. When they are deformed due to the metal being compressed or expanded, their electrical resistance changes.
In effect each SiloRe@der sensor is a load cell, bolted onto each silo leg that measures the leg’s compression due to the silo contents’ weight. In other words the sensor measures the very small changes in length between the two mounting holes of the metal on which it is attached.
The electronic instrument connected to the sensors measures the changes to the sensors’ electrical resistance and converts it into a weight indication.

INSTALLATION BENEFITS

Never again run out of cement in your silo.
Protection against labor accidents, commonly caused by the abnormal measurement methods such as using a sledgehammer, slingers and other imaginative tools.
Your silo will not be overloaded, thus preventing environmental pollution and unnecessary expenses.
If you already have dedusting filters installed on your silo (as required by the legislation), you will be able to take advantage of the maximum silo capacity without having to worry about destroying the filter cartridges every time the silo is slightly overloaded.

WEIGHING INDICATOR

The PROTEM CTZ-52 Smart Weighing Indicator is a cost effective solution for Silo Weighing applications. Small in size (96x96 mm), it can be easily mounted on any industrial control panel or electrical board front door.
It is equipped with 5 programmable outputs that allow you to set upper and lower limits and automatically activate sirens and indicator lights without any extra equipment.
CTZ-52 is also equipped with a RS485 communication port that enables you to supervise the silos’ weight from a PC, a tablet or a mobile phone and schedule refilling on time.
